Evans Vanodine Pre-Dip™ is a ready-to-use iodophor pre-milking teat disinfectant designed to clean and disinfect cows' teats and udders before milking. Its fast-acting formulation requires just 15 seconds of contact time and helps reduce bacterial contamination associated with mastitis.
Evans Vanodine Pre-Dip™ is a ready-to-use liquid iodophor teat disinfectant formulated specifically for pre-milking dairy hygiene. It helps clean and disinfect cows' teats before milking while providing rapid bactericidal action against mastitis-causing bacteria picked up from the environment.
The fast-acting formulation passes EN 1656 against bacteria with a 15-second contact time and EN 1657 against yeast with a 30-second contact time. This makes it suitable for dairy operations looking for an effective pre-milking disinfectant that can be incorporated into a regular milking routine.
Pre-Dip™ is supplied ready to use, so no dilution or mixing is required. It can be applied to cows' teats before each milking and is particularly useful where preparing and measuring diluted disinfectant would be inconvenient. The manufacturer also states that it can help maintain low bactoscans by controlling bacterial contamination in the milk tank.
The product is supplied in 25ltr containers.
Use undiluted. The use of a dosing pump for filling application equipment is recommended.
Ensure udder and teats are clean and dry before using this product. Apply before each milking every day (1-3 times a day). For manual application ensure the full teat is covered for a minimum contact time of 60 seconds.
Fill teat dip cup ⅔ full with product. Dip the teats of each cow before milking, making sure that the full length of the teat is immersed. Allow at least 60 seconds contact time, then wipe and dry the teats thoroughly using a single use paper towel. Top up with fresh solution as required. Empty and wash out cups with water after use.
Before milking, spray the entire surface of each teat of every cow with product. Ensure the spray covers the entire surface of all the teats. leave the product on the teats for at least 60 seconds, then wipe and dry the teats thoroughly using a single use paper towel. After use, dispose of unused product, the packaging and any contaminated materials in accordance with local requirements. Used product can be flushed to the municipal sewer or disposed to the manure deposit depending on local requirements. Avoid release to an on-site waste water treatment plant.
