Evans Vanodine Masocare® Extra is a ready-to-use teat dip and spray solution formulated for post-milking dairy hygiene. The 0.535% w/v iodophor formulation provides fast-acting disinfection and is designed to help reduce bacterial contamination that can contribute to mastitis in dairy herds.

Following application by dipping or spraying, the iodine formulation leaves an antiseptic film on the teat, providing continued protection following milking. Masocare® Extra passes the EN 1656 and EN 1657 tests, with the manufacturer specifying a 15-second contact time.

The formulation contains 11.32% w/v glycerol and 0.68% w/v sorbitol, providing a high level of skin-conditioning emollients. These ingredients help keep teat skin soft and supple while aiding the prevention and healing of sores, cracks and chaps.

Masocare® Extra is supplied ready to use, meaning no dilution or mixing is required. It is supplied in 25ltr containers.

User Instructions

Teat Dipping

Fill teat cup about full. No dilution is required. Dip teats of every cow immediately after each has been milked, making sure that the full length of the teat is immersed. Top up with a fresh solution as required. Empty and wash out cups after milking.

Teat Spraying

Immediately after milking, spray the entire surface of each teat of every cow. No dilution required.

Udder Washing & Cluster Dipping

Dilute 1:80. To help prevent cross-infection, individual cloths or disposable paper towels are strongly recommended. Dry teats before milking. Immerse clusters & agitate for at least half a minute. Rinse in clean water before use.

Wash & dry udders & teats before milking.
