Evans Vanodine Pro-Tec™ 1:3 is a concentrated iodophor teat disinfectant formulated for use as part of pre- and post-milking dairy hygiene routines. The dual-active formulation includes iodine and PVP-iodine, providing fast-acting biocidal performance against bacteria and yeast, including important organisms associated with mastitis.

The product is designed to provide thorough coverage when used as a dip, spray or foam. Its highly visible dark brown colour makes it easier to see which teats have received treatment, helping support consistent application across the herd.

Pro-Tec™ 1:3 also contains high levels of allantoin and glycerol emollients. These ingredients help condition and soften teat skin, helping to reduce dryness, cracks and crevices where bacteria can multiply.

As the name suggests, Pro-Tec™ 1:3 is a concentrated product that requires dilution at 1 part product to 3 parts clean water before use. The manufacturer recommends preparing a fresh solution daily. For pre-milking use, the diluted solution requires at least 60 seconds of contact time, followed by thorough wiping and drying of the teats. For post-milking use, the solution should remain on the teats to provide sufficient contact time.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

This product requires dilution before use. Prepare a fresh solution daily. decant or
dispense (using dispensing equipment) 1 part product and add to 3 parts clean water and mix well.
Containers for dilution should be clean and suitable for use. Ensure udder and teats are clean and dry
before using this product.

MANUAL DIPPING/FOAMING:

PRE-MILKING:

Fill teat cup ⅔ full with diluted product. Dip the teats of each cow before milking, making sure
that the full length of the teat is immersed. Allow at least 60 seconds contact time. Then wipe and dry the teats
thoroughly using a single use paper towel. Top up with fresh solution as required. Empty and wash out cups
with water after use.
