Evans Vanodine Allantocare™ Teat Disinfectant 200L
Allantocare™ combines ready-to-use teat disinfection with skin conditioning for regular dairy hygiene. The R046NEV pack supplies 200 litres for farms using dipping, foaming or electronic spraying before and after milking. No dilution is required.
The iodine and PVP-iodine formulation provides the dual-active system. Evans describes a 9% emollient content incorporating allantoin and glycerol to help retain moisture and soften teat skin. Its dark brown appearance helps operators see where product has been applied.
Evans lists EN 1656 bactericidal and EN 1657 yeasticidal performance. Its microbiological profile reports separate pre- and post-milking test conditions, including tests against E. coli, S. aureus, S. uberis and Candida albicans. Allantocare is a GB/NI-authorised biocidal product for the stated teat-treatment uses.
The supplied pack is 200L; the product image is illustrative. Plan the application equipment and storage space for this larger supply, and keep the current instructions available to operators. Compare our teat care products and broader livestock hygiene range for other parts of the milking routine.

Directions for Use
Prepare the product and equipment
Use neat on clean, dry teats and udder. A dosing pump is recommended for filling equipment. Follow the label and wear the protective equipment specified in the SDS.
Pre-milking dipping or foaming
Fill the cup two-thirds full. Cover the full teat length, wait at least 60 seconds, then wipe and dry thoroughly with a single-use paper towel before milking.
Pre-milking electronic spraying
Spray every teat over its entire surface. Allow at least 60 seconds, then thoroughly wipe and dry using a single-use paper towel.
Post-milking application
Dip, foam or spray immediately after milking, covering all teats fully. Prevent removal of the product, for example by keeping cows standing for at least five minutes. Refill cups with fresh solution and wash them out after use.
Storage and disposal
Keep tightly closed in the original container, in a cool, ventilated place away from oxidisers. Follow local disposal requirements and avoid release to an on-site wastewater treatment plant.

FAQs
Does Allantocare need dilution?
No. It is ready to use for the specified teat applications. Fill suitable equipment with undiluted product.
Why does the information sheet mention a 15-second result?
That is an EN 1656 laboratory performance claim. The same sheet requires at least 60 seconds before pre-milking wiping and drying; follow that application instruction.
What should I do after post-milking treatment?
Keep the treatment in place. Evans recommends preventing removal, for example by keeping cows standing for at least five minutes.
Can I spray it instead of dipping?
Yes. The instructions cover electronic spraying, with full coverage of every teat and the appropriate pre- or post-milking procedure.
Which pack does this listing supply?
This is the 200-litre R046NEV pack. The illustration shows the product branding rather than the supplied container size.
What protective equipment is specified?
The SDS specifies chemical-resistant gloves, protective clothing including at least Type 6 to EN 13034, and suitable protective footwear to EN 13832. Follow the current label and workplace assessment.
