Evans Vanodine EvaFoam™ Teat Disinfectant 25L
EvaFoam™ supports an organised dairy hygiene routine with one ready-to-use formulation for pre- and post-milking teat care. Supplied in a 25-litre container under code R020KEV, it can be applied by foaming cup, dip cup or spray equipment.
Chlorhexidine gluconate and lactic acid provide the dual-biocide formulation. Evans reports EN 1656 bactericidal testing against common mastitis-associated organisms, with separate pre- and post-milking test conditions. Use it as part of the farm's wider hygiene programme.
The foam helps operators achieve coverage along the teat. Allantoin and glycerol support skin conditioning, helping smooth and soften the skin through repeated milking routines. The unperfumed formulation has an undiluted pH of 5.0.
The required preparation differs between direct teat treatment and udder washing. Follow the instructions for the chosen method and retain the current label and safety sheet for staff reference. Compare our teat care products and wider livestock hygiene range when planning the cleaning routine.

Directions for Use
Prepare for treatment
Start with clean, dry teats and udder. Read the label and safety sheet. Wear eye protection; the product can seriously damage eyes.
Pre-milking foam or spray
Fill the foaming cup two-thirds with undiluted EvaFoam and squeeze to foam. Cover each teat's full length, or spray its entire surface. Leave for 30 seconds, then wipe and dry thoroughly using a single-service paper towel before milking.
Post-milking dip or spray
Apply neat immediately after milking, covering the whole teat. Fill dip cups two-thirds. Leave treatment on and keep cows standing for at least five minutes. Replenish with fresh product; empty and wash cups after milking.
Separate udder-washing dilution
Use fresh EvaFoam diluted 1:200 with water to dampen individual cloths, without soaking them. Use one cloth per cow; clean and disinfect cloths before reuse.
Handling and storage
Keep the original container tightly closed, cool and ventilated, away from oxidisers. Prevent release to watercourses. Use suitable gloves for repeated skin contact and follow the SDS disposal instructions.

FAQs
Do I dilute EvaFoam for teat treatment?
No. Teat dipping and spraying use the product neat. The 1:200 instruction is specifically for udder-washing cloths.
How long should I leave it before milking?
Allow 30 seconds, then thoroughly wipe and dry the teats with a single-service paper towel before continuing the milking routine.
Should post-milking treatment be wiped off?
No. Leave it on after application and keep the cows standing for at least five minutes.
What does the EN 1656 claim cover?
It describes bactericidal laboratory testing. Evans reports the named organisms at 30°C, using 30-second pre-milking and five-minute post-milking test conditions; follow the application instructions in use.
Does the formula condition teat skin?
Yes. It contains allantoin and glycerol, which Evans includes to help smooth and soften skin.
What safety precautions apply?
Wear eye protection and read the SDS. EvaFoam carries serious-eye-damage and aquatic-hazard warnings and contains CMIT, which may cause an allergic reaction.
