Directions for Use
Prepare the drum solution first
Use a clean, empty 200-litre drum. Add 25 litres of Cleansan, followed by 175 litres of clean water. Mix thoroughly before use. The system percentages below apply to this prepared mixture, not directly to the supplied concentrate.
Cluster-flush systems
Set the dosing unit to 0.5–1.0% and insert its dosing tube into the drum of prepared solution. Use the equipment's operating procedure for flushing clusters between animals. Evans states that peracetic acid is not required for this cluster-cleaning application.
Teat-brush systems
Use the prepared drum solution at 2–5% through the teat-brush system, in conjunction with a suitable disinfectant such as Peradox. Follow that disinfectant's label and the equipment supplier's instructions for compatibility, dosing and operation; this 2–5% setting describes the prepared Cleansan solution.
Handling, storage and equipment care
Read the current label and SDS and follow the equipment's cleaning and rinsing requirements. Is Cleansan ready to use from the container?
No. First prepare the 200-litre drum mixture using the 25-litre pack and 175 litres of clean water. The dosing system then dilutes that mixture further.
What does the 20,000-litre yield mean?
It is the working-solution yield when the correctly prepared 200-litre drum is dosed at 1%. It does not mean adding the original concentrate directly at 1%.
Are cluster-flush and teat-brush settings the same?
No. Cluster flushing uses a 0.5–1.0% setting; teat-brush systems use 2–5%. Both refer to the prepared drum solution.
Does Cleansan contain peracetic acid or QACs?
