R071 - Masodine® Concentrate
Evans Vanodine Masodine® Concentrate is a 2.15% w/v iodophor formulation developed for dairy teat disinfection and udder hygiene. It can be used as both a pre-milking and post-milking teat dip or spray, providing flexibility within dairy hygiene programmes.
When used as a post-milking dip or spray, Masodine® Concentrate is diluted at 1 part product to 3 parts clean water, producing a solution containing a minimum of 5,000 ppm available iodine. For pre-milking use, it can be diluted at 1:7.
The iodine formulation helps reduce bacterial contamination and leaves an antiseptic iodine film adhering to treated teats. The product also contains glycerine and sorbitol emollients, which help keep teat skin soft and supple and aid in the prevention and healing of sores and cracks.
Masodine® Concentrate is an authorised UK veterinary medicine and passes EN 1656 and EN 1657. It is available in 25L, 200L and 1000L containers.

User Instructions
Teat Dipping
Dilute 1 part to 3 parts of water & mix well. Fill teat cup about full with the prepared solution. Dip teats of every cow immediately after each has been milked, making sure that the full length of the teat is immersed. Top up with fresh solution as required. Empty & wash out cups after milking.
Teat Spraying
Dilute 1 part to 3 parts of water & mix well. Immediately after milking, spray the entire surface of each teat of every cow with the prepared solution.
Udder Washing & Cluster Dipping
Dilute 1:500. To help prevent cross-infection, individual cloths or disposable paper towels are strongly recommended. Immerse clusters & agitate for at least half a minute. Rinse in clean water before use.
Wash & dry udders & teats before milking.
Pre-Dipping or Spraying
Dilute 1:7 with clean water & mix well. Dip or spray teats of every cow, making sure that the entire surface is covered. Allow 15 seconds contact time, then using a single service paper towel, wipe & dry teats thoroughly before continuing with normal milking routine.
