The Portwest PW50 Expertbase Safety Helmet is a lightweight safety helmet featuring a high-density polypropylene shell, 4-point suspension harness and adjustable slip-ratchet headband. Designed with an unvented shell and electrical insulation properties, it combines a simple construction with certified head protection.
The PW50 Expertbase Safety Helmet is manufactured from high-density polypropylene (PP), creating a lightweight yet durable shell with a smooth, unvented profile. The closed-shell construction supports electrical insulation performance and maintains a clean, streamlined design.
Inside, the helmet features a 4-point plastic suspension harness that helps distribute weight evenly across the head. A slip-ratchet adjustment system allows the fit to be adjusted between 55–62cm for a secure and comfortable fit.
A soft foam sweatband is fitted to the internal harness, providing additional comfort and moisture absorption. The helmet is also compatible with selected Portwest accessories, including PW42 and PS42 clip-on ear defenders and compatible visor carrier systems.
The PW50 is certified to EN 397 and EN 50365 Class 0 standards, including electrical insulation up to 1000Vac or 1500Vdc.
