Portwest CH12 Oak Chainsaw Bib and Brace provides front-of-leg protective coverage for assessed forestry and chainsaw tasks. Nine protective layers sit at the front of each leg, beneath a polycotton outer fabric. Portwest documentation identifies Class 1, Type A chainsaw protection, with a 20 m/s test classification. This is a laboratory performance rating, rather than a guarantee against every chainsaw accident. Black is listed here in sizes S to XXL. The water-repellent finish helps shed light surface moisture during outdoor work. Black is listed in sizes S to XXL. Select these trousers only where their stated protection type and class meet the task assessment and the manufacturer’s instructions. Front protection does not mean full coverage around the leg, and no protective garment removes the need for training and safe chainsaw practice. Portwest PW54 Endurance Plus Visor Helmet combines an unvented ABS shell with a retractable clear PW56 visor. Its six-point textile suspension and wheel-ratchet headband provide adjustment within the manufacturer’s 56–63cm range. A sweatband and chin strap are supplied, and replacement visor parts are available for maintaining the assembly. Choose the colour shown in the product options and check both the helmet and visor markings against the job requirements. Integrated eye protection does not automatically provide the full-face or specialist protection a task may need. Use only approved accessory combinations, inspect the shell, suspension and visor before use, and follow the supplied fitting, cleaning, storage and replacement instructions.
