Catering Cling Film 45cm x 300m
Cover larger dishes with a film width selected for the equipment used in catering kitchens. This 45cm cling film reaches across wider bowls, trays and platters, making it useful when a standard narrow roll leaves too little material to secure around the edges. Measure the container and draw out a suitable length for each task.
The 300m roll provides a substantial supply for a regularly used wrapping station. Its cut-to-length format allows staff to move between different containers during preparation, from a bowl of ingredients to a larger covered platter. Choosing each piece for the job helps avoid unnecessary joins and excessive overlapping film.
The roll is supplied in a cutter box, keeping dispensing and cutting together at the preparation point. There is no need to fit a separate dispenser for normal box use. Keep the box on a stable surface, protect the remaining film from splashes and close it between tasks so it is ready for the next member of the kitchen team.
Choose the wider roll where tray coverage matters, and use the supplied packaging to check food-contact and storage suitability. For smaller containers, see 30cm catering cling film. For an appropriate baking liner, compare 450mm baking parchment, following that product's separate cooking instructions.

Directions for Use
1. Check food and storage suitability
Read the supplied pack before use, particularly where the film will touch high-fat foods. Confirm the intended storage conditions and use clean dishes or containers. Do not assume that all cling-film products have identical food-contact or heating permissions.
2. Measure and cut the covering
Place the cutter box on a stable, clean surface. Pull out enough film to cover the container with room to reach around its edges, then cut carefully. Keep fingers clear of the cutter and keep the unused roll away from food debris and splashes.
3. Cover and identify the food
Fit the film around the dish without tearing it and check for gaps before moving the container. Follow your kitchen's normal date-labelling, storage and temperature-control procedures. Wrapping provides a covering; it does not change the storage requirements of the food inside.
4. Observe heat limits and store the roll
Do not use this film in an oven or on pans on the hob where it could melt into food. Microwave use requires express permission on the supplied packaging, with the film kept from touching the food. Protect the cutter as directed and store the box clean and dry between uses.

FAQs
How wide is this cling film?
The film is 45cm wide, equivalent to 450mm. Compare that width with your containers and leave sufficient material to fit around the edges. It is useful for dishes that are difficult to cover with a narrower roll.
How much film is supplied?
The roll contains 300m of film in a cutter box. Cut each piece to the length needed for the particular bowl, tray or wrapping task, and keep the remaining roll protected between uses.
What is the difference from the 30cm version?
The 45cm roll offers an additional 15cm of width, providing more coverage for larger dishes. Choose by the container dimensions and check each product's packaging separately for material, food-contact and use instructions.
Can I wrap any type of food directly?
Read the pack to confirm which foods are suitable for direct contact, especially high-fat foods. Food Standards Scotland advises that some cling films have restrictions for these applications. Use an appropriate alternative where the supplied packaging excludes the intended food.
Can the film go in the oven or microwave?
It is not suitable for oven use. Only use it in a microwave if that method is expressly permitted on the supplied packaging, and keep the film from touching the food. Follow the appliance instructions as well as the film's directions.
Does cling film extend the safe storage period?
A covering does not establish a new shelf life. Continue to follow the food's storage instructions and your kitchen's refrigeration, labelling and temperature-control procedures. Check covered containers during handling and replace torn or contaminated film as appropriate.
