FP35 - Scaffold Hook

The Portwest FP30 Screwgate Carabiner is an oval steel connector with a manually operated screw-lock gate. It measures 106mm long, has a 19mm opening and carries a listed breaking load of 25kN. Its heat-treated alloy-steel construction is specified for use as a connector within a compatible fall-protection arrangement. The gate must be closed and its locking sleeve secured as instructed before use. A breaking-load figure is not a safe working load or a guarantee that any connection is suitable. Have a competent person check the connected equipment, loading direction and intended application. The Portwest FP98 Suspension Trauma Safety Straps are an accessory intended to help relieve the effects of suspension following a fall arrest. They use polyester webbing and are designed for straightforward installation and deployment in accordance with the supplied instructions. Portwest lists a maximum rated load of 100kg for this model. These straps are supplementary equipment, not a harness, fall-arrest lanyard or rescue system. They do not guarantee prevention of suspension injury or justify delaying rescue. Before work begins, confirm compatibility with the selected harness, practise the instructed deployment method and ensure an appropriate rescue plan is in place. The Portwest FP40 Web Fall Arrest Block provides a 3-metre retractable webbing lifeline for a compatible fall-protection system. The unit has an ABS housing, polyethylene webbing, a connection carabiner and a swivel snap hook with a double safety lock and load indicator. Portwest lists EN 360 and EN 362, with a maximum rated load of 100kg. Retractable equipment still requires a suitable anchorage, compatible harness, sufficient clearance and a rescue plan. A competent person must check the intended use and operating limits before work begins. Inspect the block, webbing, connectors and indicator as instructed, and remove the equipment from service after a fall or if its condition is doubtful.

The Portwest FP41 Retractable Fall Arrest Block has a 10-metre steel-wire lifeline housed on a spring-loaded reel. Its 4.8mm wire rope extends and retracts with controlled movement, while the unit incorporates an inertia brake, protective ABS housing and a swivel snap hook with a double safety lock and fall indicator. Select this block as part of a compatible system with suitable anchorage, a full-body harness, sufficient clearance and rescue arrangements.
