The Caterpillar Charge S3 is constructed as a flexible, lightweight safety trainer with a synthetic upper reinforced by mesh panels for improved breathability. The black and lime colourway gives it a sporty appearance while maintaining industrial durability.
A composite fibre glass toe cap provides 200-joule impact protection without the weight of steel, while a composite midsole adds underfoot puncture resistance. This fully non-metallic construction makes the trainer lighter and suitable for environments where metal-free footwear is required.
The shoe features a removable PU foam footbed designed to enhance comfort and support during long wear. Inside, a breathable mesh lining helps improve airflow and reduce heat build-up.
The outsole is made from SRC-rated slip-resistant rubber, engineered to reduce slip risk on low-traction surfaces. It also provides fuel and oil resistance, antistatic properties, heel energy absorption, and heat resistance up to 300°C.
Additional protection features include water resistance and ESD (electrostatic dissipative) properties, making the trainer suitable for a wide range of industrial and technical environments.
The Charge S3 is certified to EN ISO 20345 S3 HRO SRC ESD standards.
