Small Burns Kit
The Aero Healthcare EMR-10 Small Burns Kit provides a dedicated place for burn-care supplies in kitchens, catering areas and other workplaces where a needs assessment identifies heat-related risks. Its red case helps distinguish this specialist kit from general first-aid equipment, so staff can identify the right supplies quickly.
Inside are two sterile 10cm × 10cm burns gel dressings and three individual 3.5g gel sachets. These are stored with conforming bandages, disposable gloves, safety pins, scissors and a first-aid leaflet, keeping the supporting items together instead of requiring a search through several containers.
The case combines portable storage with a wall-mounting bracket. Choose a designated position that staff can reach promptly, and use the carry handle when supplies need to be moved. Internal organisation and a defined contents list make it easier to spot missing items during routine checks.
Use this specialist kit alongside the general first aid kits selected for your premises. Our wider medical supplies range can support the rest of your first-aid point. Select equipment and training through your workplace needs assessment and follow current first-aid guidance when an injury occurs.

Directions for Use
1. Position and check the kit
Install the wall bracket according to the supplied instructions, keeping the kit accessible near the relevant work area. Check quantities, packaging and expiry dates before placing it into service. Tell staff where it is stored and how to obtain first-aid assistance.
2. Cool thermal burns promptly
For a thermal burn or scald, cool the affected area under cool running water for 20 minutes as soon as possible. Do not delay cooling while locating the kit. Do not pull away clothing stuck to the skin, and seek medical help appropriate to the injury.
3. Follow product instructions and first-aid guidance
Use the kit contents only as directed by their labels and appropriate first-aid training or clinical advice. Check sterile wrappers before opening. Gel and dressings do not replace prompt water cooling or medical assessment. Do not use sticky dressings on a burn.
4. Replenish after use
Dispose of used single-use items appropriately and replace them with suitable sealed supplies. Recheck the case, dressing packets, sachets and expiry dates before returning the kit to its usual position. Keep replacement items organised for the next inspection.

FAQs
What does the Small Burns Kit contain?
The EMR-10 includes two 10cm × 10cm sterile burns gel dressings, three 3.5g gel sachets, two conforming bandages, two pairs of large vinyl gloves, scissors, six safety pins and a first-aid leaflet. A wall bracket accompanies the carry case.
Can the kit be mounted on a wall?
Yes. A wall-mounting bracket is included so the kit can have a recognised storage point. Follow the fitting instructions, keep access clear and make sure staff know its location. The handle also allows the case to be carried when needed.
Should burn gel replace cooling with water?
No. Prompt cooling is the priority for thermal burns and scalds: use cool running water for 20 minutes. Follow the kit items' instructions and appropriate first-aid guidance, and do not delay cooling to find gel or dressings.
When should medical help be obtained?
Call 999 or go to A&E for very large or deep burns, burns to the face, genitals or bottom, and burns caused by chemicals or electricity. If you are unsure what to do about a burn, seek advice from NHS 111.
How should the kit be maintained?
Inspect the contents regularly and after any use. Replace missing, opened, damaged or expired supplies with suitable sealed items. Keep the case clean and follow the storage instructions on the individual products, particularly the sterile dressings and gel sachets.
Does this replace a general workplace first-aid kit?
It is a specialist burns kit. Your assessment may also identify a need for general wound-care supplies, eyewash or other equipment. Plan the complete first-aid arrangement for your premises, including trained assistance, rather than relying on one specialist kit for every incident.
