Target™ Powergel
Evans Target Powergel is a heavy-duty alkaline detergent for cleaning difficult organic deposits from livestock housing. Its caustic-based formulation produces a thick, clinging foam or gel that stays in contact with the surface during treatment. Directions for Use
Check the surface and prepare the equipment
Read the current label, product information sheet and safety data sheet before handling. Confirm that the surface is compatible; do not use on vehicles or aluminium. Use a pressure washer fitted with a suitable foam lance and follow the equipment instructions. Wear protective gloves, clothing and eye or face protection as specified in the safety data sheet, and avoid breathing mist.
Apply for heavy foam or gel cleaning
Use a concentration of 2–5% v/v, equivalent to 20–50 ml per litre, at a temperature from ambient up to 60°C. Apply through the pressure-wash system with its suitable foam lance. Leave the foam or gel in contact with the surface for 10–20 minutes before completing the rinsing stage below.
Apply for general foam cleaning
For general foam cleaning, use 0.3–0.5% v/v, equivalent to 3–5 ml per litre, at a temperature from ambient up to 60°C. Apply through a pressure washer fitted with a suitable foam lance. Allow 10–20 minutes of contact before rinsing. This is a separate concentration range from the heavy foam/gel method.
Rinse thoroughly after the contact period
After the specified 10–20 minutes, rinse to drain at high pressure using potable water. Evans recommends preferably hot rinse water at 60–70°C. Follow your site’s drainage arrangements and the equipment instructions, and consult the safety data sheet for handling and storage requirements. Complete the cleaning and rinsing procedure before any separate disinfection stage required by your site.
