Directions for Use
Check the fabric and prepare the area
Read the product label, carpet or upholstery care instructions and machine guidance. Use only on suitable colourfast materials and test an inconspicuous area first. Arrange access so people do not walk through the cleaning area while work is in progress or before the surface has dried.
Pre-spray heavily soiled areas
For badly soiled carpets and traffic lanes, mix one part product with ten parts water in a spray bottle: 50ml product per 500ml water. Apply the solution to the affected areas before shampooing. Keep this pre-treatment dilution distinct from the weaker general extraction solution.
Prepare the machine solution and extract
For general soiling, Evans specifies 1:60 and a measuring guide of 80ml product per 5 litres of water. For excessive soiling, use 120ml per 5 litres. Start furthest from the entrance, work with long overlapping wand strokes and follow with two or three dry passes to recover liquid.
Allow to dry and store correctly
Let the carpet dry completely, then vacuum to lift the pile. Store concentrate in its original container, tightly closed, in a cool and well-ventilated place away from oxidising materials. Follow the safety data sheet and workplace assessment; suitable gloves are recommended for prolonged or repeated skin contact.
