Evans Coldwash 25kg Dairy Circulation Cleaner
Evans Vanodine Coldwash is a highly caustic powder detergent for cold circulation cleaning of dairy milking machines, pipelines and jars. The 25kg R041HEV pack is intended for compatible plant operated under the manufacturer's defined washing programme.
The powder mixes readily, does not foam and rinses freely in hard or soft water. Routine cold washes require no water heating. Evans also specifies a hot wash before starting the programme and once a month thereafter.
The cold procedure uses the same prepared solution for two washes: recover it after the first circulation, then discharge it after the second. Clusters stay attached to the jetters between stages, with the prescribed clean-water rinse immediately before each subsequent milking.

Directions for Use
First cold wash after milking
Thoroughly rinse the outside of the clusters before attaching them to the jetters. Pre-rinse the pipeline with about 9 litres of clean, cold water per milking unit and run to waste. Prepare 226g of Coldwash per 45 litres of cold water, allowing 9 litres of wash solution per milking unit.
Draw the wash solution into the plant and let about 7 litres run to waste. Circulate the remainder for 10 minutes. Recover it into the wash trough for the next wash. Leave clusters attached to the jetters and do not rinse at this stage.
Before the next milking
Immediately before milking, rinse the plant thoroughly with clean water, using about 9 litres per milking unit. This rinse is required before milk passes through the equipment.
Second cold wash
After milking, pre-rinse as above. Draw the retained solution into the plant, allowing 7 litres to run to waste, and circulate the remainder for 10 minutes. Discharge this solution to waste. Keep clusters attached to the jetters and do not rinse at this stage; rinse thoroughly immediately before the next milking using about 9 litres of clean water per unit.
Initial and monthly hot wash
Before starting the cold programme, and monthly afterwards, prepare 226g of Coldwash plus 0.5 litres of Evans Hypochlorite per 45 litres of water at 80°C. Allow 9 litres per milking unit. Use this specific manufacturer-prescribed combination and follow both product labels.
Run the first 7 litres to waste, then circulate the remainder for 10 minutes. During circulation, briefly switch off the milk pump so the auxiliary sanitary trap partially fills with cleaning solution, following the equipment instructions. Discharge to waste and rinse thoroughly with clean, cold water at 9 litres per milking unit.
Handling and storage
Read the current label and SDS before handling. Coldwash causes severe skin burns and eye damage: avoid breathing dust and wear protective gloves, clothing and eye/face protection. Keep dry in the tightly closed original container in a cool, ventilated place away from acids.
